pH decreaser for swimming pools.
The pH value is important for optimal performance of chlorine/disinfection products. Also lowers Total Alkalinity (TA value). High-quality, fast-dissolving granulate.
Dosing instructions (practical advice):
- pH value should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.6
- If the pH value is too high, the activity of chlorine (disinfection power) decreases sharply
- 80g (= 50 ml) pH- per 10 m³ water lowers the pH value by approx. 0.1
- Dissolve the product in a bucket of cool water and then distribute it evenly over the surface of the water
- The ideal TA value is 100-150 ppm (mg/l)
- A TA value that is too high can cause clouding and problems with limescale
- 180g (=115 ml) of this product per 10 m³ of water lowers the TA value by approx. 10 ppm (mg/l)
- Note: Cyanuric acid content can influence the measurement of the TA value: see explanation of TA value
- Do not dose more than 300g (=190 ml) per 10 m³ per treatment
- Perform a possible second treatment only 12 hours after the first treatment
- During treatment, the pump should be running for 3 to 4 hours
- Consult your supplier if the pH value needs to be corrected frequently
Warning:
- Always read the label and product information before use
- Keep in a cool dark place, out of the reach of children
- Do not throw pH- granulate directly into the pool. You can easily get bleach stains and damage the bottom of your pool.
- Never mix with other (swimming pool) chemicals, always add the product to water, never the other way around
- To avoid risk of skin and eye irritation, it is recommended to wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling this product
Tip:
A correct pH value also ensures less limescale, especially when using hard water. In practice, the harder the water, the more difficult it is to permanently change the pH value using pH-. For more information and an explanation about the pH and TA value, see: link to swimming pool maintenance.
